How It Works

An Air Duct Heater is installed directly into a forced-air system. As air passes over the heating elements (typically open-coil or finned tubular), the electric energy is converted into heat, raising the temperature of the air stream to the desired set point. Our heaters are controlled by an integrated terminal box featuring robust contactors, terminal blocks, and optional solid-state power controllers for smooth, proportional control.

  • Comprehensive Safety Protections: Built with multiple safety limits to prevent overheating:

    1. Automatic Reset Limit Controllers: Regulate the air temperature.

    2. Manual Reset Safety Cut-Outs: Provide fail-safe protection in case of airflow loss or fan failure.

    3. Airflow Proving Switches: Ensure the heater only energizes when adequate airflow is detected.

  • Easy Installation: Designed for horizontal or vertical mounting. Slip-in flanges or angle frames allow for quick installation into rectangular or round ducts.
